One of Thailand's many beautiful islands, Koh Kood is located off Thailand's east coast and near the border with Cambodia. For regular visitors to the island, it is approximately five hours by land from Bangkok and another two hours by boat, making Koh Kood one of the country's more remote destinations. However, guests at the luxurious Soneva Kiri, the only resort on the island, can fly into a private airstrip on the resort's private charter plane from Bangkok. With its crystal-clear waters, immaculate white beaches, and swaying palms, Koh Kood is, for now, free of the tourist crowds common to other islands. There are many options for outdoor enthusiasts.
