Overview

Central Thailand Adventure Holidays

Central Thailand or the Central Plains of Thailand includes a large alluvial plain of the Chao Phraya River, Thailand. This region is separated from Thailand's North-East (Isan) by the Phetchabun Mountains, and other mountain ranges divide the natural border with Myanmar to the west.

In the north, these mountain ranges lower the height of the hills of northern Thailand. The Central Thai region is the center of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, and is still a key area of Thailand, with Bangkok capital. Central Thailand has the most densely populated population in this country.
