About 45km far from Sapa town, Muong Hum market is the main meeting place to exchange products of local ethnics living in Bat Xat district of Lao Cai province. Different from Bac Ha & Sapa markets which are held in the townships, Muong Hum market is organized on an open flat area at the bottom of a scenic valley surrounded by the rice terrace paddies. Like as Bac Ha market, Muong Hum market only takes place on Sunday when local people of different colorful traditional dresses heading there to barter their goods, trade the things they need, meet their old friends or find their lovers meeting in the market.......
